I've been fascinated by the Asian economic region for over 25 years – ever since I lived and worked in China. On countless business trips through Asia's most important economic centers, I was able to build valuable relationships and immerse myself deeply in the local business culture. Later, I assumed leadership responsibilities as a manager and sales director – experiences that now inform my consulting work. I'm particularly focused on India – the emerging, most populous country in South Asia, which will soon become the world's third-largest economy. Today, I support Swiss companies that want to grow or invest in China and India.

I am an Indian citizen living in Pune. During my over four-decade-long professional career, I have had the privilege of developing my skills within a leading Swiss multinational group in the automation machinery sector. I was given the opportunity to build and manage three local companies – sales, production, and software development – before retiring in August 2025. At the core of my personality lies a deep interest in spirituality. After retirement, I now focus on contributing to the growth of new companies as a consultant.

Sunday March 22, 2026 - Arrival

Individual journey to Delhi. The most convenient option is the direct flight from Zurich to the Indian capital. At the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel.

Monday March 23, 2026

After breakfast and check-out, we will participate ourselves in an inspiring talk by an Indian spiritual Sanjiv Pandey. He will highlight the essential connections between economic success and personal fulfillment. He will also explain the role of spirituality in Indian business life. Afterwards, we visit a Swiss company on site and gain fascinating insights into how it successfully navigates the opportunities and challenges in India. After lunch, we continue by bus to Agra, where we conclude the day with a shared dinner at the hotel.

Tuesday March 24, 2026

Today we visit the world-famous Taj Mahal, India’s most iconic cultural landmark. A local guide will lead us through this unique masterpiece and share fascinating background stories. Afterwards, we return to Delhi, where we will be welcomed at the Swiss Embassy after check-in. The evening begins with a guest lecture, followed by a buffet that offers ample opportunity to connect with representatives of the Swiss Business Hub India.

Wednesday March 25, 2026

After breakfast, we take a flight of about two hours to Pune. This dynamic metropolis is among the fastest-growing cities in India and has experienced remarkable development in recent years. We first visit the development and research center of Swiss company Metrohm, before gaining valuable insights from Indian HR experts at the hotel into key aspects of Indian labor law. They will also share practical tips and strategies for successfully recruiting skilled professionals.

Thursday March 26, 2026

After breakfast, local experts provide us with an overview of the key challenges in the areas of taxation and corporate law. We then visit the digital competence center of Komax, a Swiss machinery manufacturer, to learn how a software competence was established there using the BOT method (Build-Operate-Train). Before our flight to Chennai, we tour a modern co-working space and gain fascinating insights into government support for investors. Upon arrival in Chennai, we check-in at the renowned ITC Grand Chola Hotel, followed by a shared dinner.

Friday March 27, 2026

On the final day of our journey, we begin with a visit to the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, one of India’s leading technical universities. There we gain insights into the dynamic start-up scene and have the opportunity to engage with professors as well as young entrepreneurs. After lunch, we continue to Zoho Corporation, an Indian software company that develops and distributes web-based business applications such as ERP, CRM, and HR systems worldwide. To conclude, we return to the airport for a shared dinner, followed by our departure to Europe
